Choose Artificial Turf for High Traffic Areas

Nothing can wear a lawn down faster than a high volume of foot traffic. Whether it’s homeowners walking across the lawn to get from their carport to their house or children running while playing hide and go seek, high traffic lawn areas will become worn down more quickly than other parts of a lawn. Eventually, homeowners will need to reseed the turf or replace it in order to make it look new again.

One way to avoid this problem is to install fake grass instead of natural grass. If your lawn gets a high amount of foot traffic on a regular basis, it may be time to consider making the switch to artificial grass. Whether you have kids and pets who run and play on the lawn regularly or host parties and other social gatherings in your backyard, artificial turf is the perfect solution to issues caused by high foot traffic.

The life cycle of synthetic lawns can be decades if proper care and maintenance is taken. This means that you don’t have to worry about your lawn looking smashed down, going brown or otherwise being unattractive for years to come after it is installed. Simple upkeep such as brushing or raking leaves and other debris away, along with occasional washing with a hose, is usually all you need to keep artificial grass looking great.

If your synthetic yard does start to look less than perfect in high traffic areas, fixing this is simple: just rake or brush the opposite direction as the “grain” of the blades of grass. This will restore the full, fluffy look to your lawn.
